Love Affair with Blown Glass
I was so fortunate to begin learning the art and craft of glassblowing in college and then spend 4 years teaching it on Oahu in an open air studio, as I simultaneously competed in open ocean swimming. Being Immersed in ocean water and molten glass was an epic adventure. And now 30+ years later it’s been deeply life affirming to face the fire of the glass furnace again, despite life altering health problems caused by the Lymes disease. The glass is still teaching me so much and I couldn’t be happier about it.
