My glass sculptures always seem to be about fragility that runs alongside strength and resilience. In this piece it is about the trees that inspire me in that way too. And so often I feel like I’m running sketch lines through the glass with the silicone glue of varying colors. Playing with the fracture lines and glue lines has been a new direction as I also find myself in a strange depth of resonance with the trees in my neighborhood. They are going through the same stresses we are and I feel such thankfulness for them showing me their resilience.
